If you can afford it, it is better for you than one you cannot afford.
Taurus is a good option, very comparable to the Ruger. Glock is a great option. Taurus is a perfectly adequate handgun though if it fits in your budget. Stay safe and have a great day!!
it is the best gun at its price point and it is as good as many of the guns in the $400-$500 price point the biggest drawback will come if you ever go to sell it I would put it close to the Ruger (as far as the Gun ) Ruger does have better customer service. the glock is a little better but I would pick it over the glock as I don't shoot glocks well
As a owner of the G2C and a gunsmith I have found this handgun to be of really good quality. As compared to the Ruger security 9 I find the the Taurus to be a more reliable firearm (IMHO), more accurate and the fit more appeasing. When compared to the Glock, the Glock wins, mainly from doing a trigger job standpoint. Removed the trigger bar assembly polished it and put in a 3lb bar plus an external safety. Glock hands down but money well spent on the Taurus and have not regretted the purchase one bit
Patrick, I own Glocks, Beretta's, Rugers etc and 4 Tourus G2C's and 1 Taurus G3 and 2 Taurus TH9's and they stack up to the Big Boy;s quite well at half the price. My wife carries 1 of the G2Cs. No worries! Cheers and stay safe!
If you are buying it to use as a ccw I would save just a little longer and get the Glock. I have seen quite a few taurus handguns get sent back for repair and would rather have something well known for quality.
