Standard 45 long Colt has a 1.29" case length and a 1.6" overall length. Revolvers that fire 2.5" or 3" 410 shotgun shells can fire 45 LC ammunition. The 410 shotgun shells are 2.5" or 3" but not the 45 LC revolver cartridges that can be fired from the same firearm.
