Is this equivalent to the new version which is the P22Q, but just CA compliant? The old version has many complaints. Thanks.

Anthony, yes Sir. This is the CA DOJ approved model. It is the same model just with the 3.42" Non-Threaded Barrel. Cheers and stay safe!

Anthony, This is the old model P22. Just CA compliant and on the CA approved list. CA has not added a new firearm to the approved list in years. They did just add a Browning 1911 22 lr pistol this year https://oag.ca.gov/firearms/handgun/1911-22-a1-gray-fss22-051879490
