Scott, Yea the FX-9 is optics ready. You put on the red dot or sights you want. You decide how much you want to spend, plastic or metal, and what brand. I would just put a red dot optic on it. Any standard AR 15 sights will work. Magpul MBUS sights are metal and a great choice. Scott, since it is Optics Ready, sights are not included as you found out.
