Hi Rickey, It really boils down to your personal preference. One thing I will point out is that if you are used to pistol grip on a semi-auto rifle (such as AR15) you might have a preference for pistol grip on shotgun due to familiarity. Moreover, some shotguns are designed for traditional grip so replacement with pistol grip might make it harder to access certain buttons on the gun. But it makes little difference on most shotgun. its all personal preference. I don't like pistol grips an a shotgun. the standard shotgun stock is more versatile and makes a better hunting stock.. Try putting your hands like you would with a pistol grip and swing (like shooting a flying target) the put them where they would be on a conventional shotgun stock and try the same thing. The pistol grip would be great for Turkey hunting where you aim more like a rifle
