Confused on materials. Does the Elite stainless have a uncoated (no PVD) stainless steel slide (SS)? The frame is Alloy - does that mean it is stainless steel w/ the PVD coating? Also read post that you can't use Hoppes solvent (or any powder solvent) on the PVD coated frames. True?

Alloy is lighter than stainless.  PVD is tough.  Do not know about the solvents

Edward, the Elite Stainless has an uncoated (SS) full Stainless Steel Slide and Frame (no PVD). The Hoppes solvent/powder solvent is not recommended on PVD coated frames.
