If I am understanding the Sig Sauer Elite models and nomenclature the only P229 9mm Elite in full stainless (slide and frame) is the SSE. The ASE model is an alloy frame with a PVD coating and a full S/S slide as I read specs. S/S is an alloy of steel but Sig specs refer to both an alloy and a S/S. Clarification will help as I want to purchase a S/S frame and slide Elite. Regards. Ed
