How is the bolt lift on this rifle?
I have a savage axis in .223 the bolt lift is very hard. After firing the bolt is very hard to lift and unfortunately couldn't get any help from the manufacturer.

Raimound, the Scout in 308 has a smooth bolt action throw and is not difficult to cycle at all. Neither is my Axis in 6.5 Creedmoor. Shame that Savage did not resolve your issue. Cheers and stay safe!

Hi,
Unfortunately, Savage 110 series suffer from heavy bolt lift which also affects this rifle. Sticky bolt on savage is a well-known issue that only can be remedy by breaking-in the action, tabletop modification, or purchase upgrade kits. I highly recommend you looking up on youtube for a video on fixing sticky bolt issues, there are numerous fixes available. I hope this helps.
