Adam, yes but - With a . 22 short you may have to hand cycle the action but you won't break anything. Simple answer No they will not feed nor cycle the action. You could shoot them but you have to feed them by hand -one at a time.

Adam, Yes if you want a single shot rifle. There is not enough oomph in the 22 short round to cycle the system in a semi auto rifle.
