Edward, This adapter is designed for the 870 12 GA models only. Buy a TacStar or Mesa Tactical adapter that fits 870 20 ga. Think you will be happier with the angle of the grip-----------https://www.amazon.com/Mesa-MESA93890-12GA-Adapter-Rem870/dp/B00OF3NCGW
