Fred, Striker.  Striker fired, blowback action with Pre-cocked SAO trigger and 4.85 lb. trigger pull. Cheers and stay safe!

Per Walther's website, it is a striker fired item. there is no external hammer, and the back of the slide is fully closed in the photos. https://waltherarms.com/ppq-22/
