Hi, I going to be honest with you, I'll try my best to avoid Remington as they have a really bad track record over the past decade. The review on this Rem 700 looks fine but they are all over 10 years old. I would stick with Weatherby as it is a production gun (thus continuing support) with a very recent review. Functionally they are capable of the same thing and price is identical. This Rem might be somewhat collectible in the future as it is limited edition....but probably not (this is more likely the case. Get the Weatherby Vanguard....don't risk Rem. I hope this helps.

Anthony, Weatherby no question, would be my choice of the 2. With Remington in and out of Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, quality control has suffered in recent years. Cheers and stay safe!
