Hi, I'm from Chicago so I'm going to explain it based on my understanding (I'm NOT a lawyer and you should probably talk to Buds as they know better). While an Illinois resident may purchase a LONG GUN from an out of state source, Illinois law says the only states a person may purchase a long gun includes those contiguous states Iowa, Missouri, Indiana, Wisconsin or Kentucky. It is important to note, per Illinois law the Illinois "cool down" (72 hours) waiting period does apply for purchases in these states. This means that you have to wait 72 hours after purchase from Buds (if you chose to do retail). As for handgun, you need to have Buds ship it to FFL in Illinois for you to pick it up. Again, talk to Buds representative, they are the one who make final decision on whether to sell or not and they know this much better than I do. Robert, not on handguns Sir. Unfortunately only long guns can be purchased over State lines. Buds will not ship in store handguns to out of state FFL's, I have asked. They treat in store inventory separate from online inventory which of course does not help up out of State folks.
