Hi, There is an under-barrel Picatinny rail at the 6 o'clock position for additional accessory attachments. Any Picatinny rail compatible flashlights or accessory will work. The scope should be mount on your ruger 10/22 Carbine receiver and not on the stock. So any scope or optics you have installed on your ruger 10/22 will work. I hope this helps.
