Hi, I read from somewhere that ZIG M1911 can be picky with ammo or magazine. So I would recommend you to first try different brand and load of ammo. For the magazine, I'm not sure what you have but MEC GAR magazine included with the gun was allowing the rounds to nosedive into the feed ramp, and would cause the gun to jam. It works perfectly fine with Wilson Combat magazine. Honestly, i feel that it needs some break-in. If the problem still persists, you should contact SDS Imports who is the distributor of the ZIG M 1911.
Anthony, I would get the extractor checked by a local gun smith. They are likely to determine issue if it needs adjustment or replacement. Most gun smiths are very familiar with the 1911 platform. Cheers and stay safe!
you most likely need to adjust/tune the extractor its fairly common on 1911s of all brands https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3WdK5V9ruA
