The Stoeger Uplander has very good reviews, and is reasonably priced. I do not see why it would not work for you.

Hi Rock, I DO NOT recommend getting a side by side for Skeet/trap, unless you specifically want side by side. For Skeet/trap, over and under shotgun or semi-auto are more popular and preferable. Check out: Yildiz SPZ ME/12 or Mossberg Silver Reserve II or Stoeger Condor. I hope this helps.

Rock, the Uplander is a great entry level shotgun, especially for the price. It is currently over $100 below MSRP, good bang for your buck.
