Only if you're Law Enforcement. Otherwise it is not. You can verify most pistols legality on the (California Gun Roster). There you can look up pistols by manufacture then model and SKU numbers. It will remove the guess work. You may find a few pistols aren't listed that are approved, but most cases you'll find if its not listed, its not CA legal.
