No this round is not a full metal jacket. The FXT stands for Flex Tip Technology. It is not a full metal jacket or a jacketed hollow point. It is a soft or flex tip round.

Stefan, no, it is effectively an expanding Hollow Point with an elastic Flex Tip. This flex tip technology ensures that the rounds are safe when being contained in tubular magazines, as well as providing you with ballistic benefits. You will notice that these Flex tip expanding projectiles will provide flatter trajectories, increased energy, and amazing bullet expansion.
