This could be a safety issue if it caused a jam when using for self deffense, if you've tried another magazine and it has the same issue, then there would be some issues with the fitment during manufacturing. If you purchased an extended warranty then contact whoever you bough it from about it. Donald, the Ruger LCP 2 has a peculiar magazine seat issue. I have found that pressing the magazine release button until the magazine is inserted 2/3rds of the way in works every time the same way as inserting with the slide back and releasing the slide. Just give it a try. Cheers and stay safe!
