I suggest that you ask the local FFL who would be doing the transfer paperwork as he should have the most up to date info. Call them with the model/upc numbers
Ryan, yes it is MA compliant unless laws change. https://www.gunsamerica.com/digest/massachusetts-ag-tries-clarify-means-assault-weapon/
That unfortunately would not be compliant in MA "✘ Any semi-automatic rifle that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least two of the following: ●Folding or telescoping stock ●Pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon ●A bayonet mount ●Flash suppressor or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor ●Grenade launcher" As it has a detachable magazine, a threaded barell and a telescoping stock https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/feeds/state_reg/massachusetts_restrictions.pdf
James according to the documents by the MA attorney General "Assault weapon" is defined as a: semiautomatic assault weapon as defined in the federal Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act, 18 U.S.C. section 921(a)(30) as appearing in such section on September 13, 1994, and shall include, but not be limited to, any of the weapons, or copies or duplicates of the weapons [emphasis added], of any caliber, known as:1 (i) Avtomat Kalashnikov (AK) (all models); (ii) Action Arms Israeli Military Industries UZI and Galil; (iii) Beretta Ar70 (SC-70); (iv) Colt AR-15; (v) Fabrique National FN/FAL, FN/LAR and FNC; (vi) SWD M-10, M-11, M-11/9 and M-12; (vii) Steyr AUG; (viii) INTRATEC TEC-9, TEC-DC9 and TEC-22; and (ix) revolving cylinder shotguns, such as, or similar to, the Street Sweeper" As this is a duplicate of the colt AR15 it would be prohibited.
Hi Ryan, This is NOT MA COMPLIANT. Since you two contradictory answers, I will point out that Paul F answer is correct. This gun has practically all banned features under MA law. I hope this helps
Rifles that are not "Assault Weapons" are permitted (10-round maximum) and include: ✔ Any .17 or .22 caliber rimfire rifle. ✔ Any Ruger Mini 14 or substantially similar model rifle. ✔ Any Springfield Armory M1A or substantially similar model rifle. ✔ Beretta CX4 Storm ✔ FN PS90 or substantially similar model rifle ✔ IWI Tavor or substantially similar model rifle ✔ Kel-Tec Sub-2000 ✔ Kel-Tec RFB Since this is a 22LR and only has a 10rd mag, it should be compliant, but you can 100% confirm that by asking your local FFL dealers.
