You cannot shoot 45 acp out of a . 45 colt unless you get a conversion cylinder for it. Without the conversion It will just fall into the chamber until it gets stuck, well beyond the reach of the firing pin.
Michael, unfortunately no. The .45ACP is a rimless cartridge and will not headspace for firing in a .45LC. Cheers and stay safe!.

Michael, No 45 ACP a rimless cartridge will not head space in a 45 colt rimmed cartridge lever gun. Same .451" diameter bullet, but totally different design rounds.
no the 45 lc has a rim on the case which seats against the barrel the 45 acp is a Rimless case and would not have anything to Seat (headspace on)
