Hi, No, there should not be a crack in the "Very Good" condition. Crack is expected for "Fair Condition." Grade of wood is averaging about 84 to 86 percent. Expect scratch and sign of use. If you see crack, report it to Buds. I hope this helps.
No it should not have a cracked stock. If it did I would refuse to accept it at the FFL and send it back for a replacement here is the century arms VG condition details Very Good 50-80% of blue remaining, minor dings in wood from handling. Bores clean without pitting. Complete and in working condition.
Kowin, very good will not have wood cracks. Just be sure and inspect the rifle at your local FFL if you are not an Curios and Relics License holder and simply refuse transfer if anything is amiss. Your FFL Dealer will notify Buds to arrange pickup and once received back, you will have an option of replacement or refund. Cheers and stay safe!
