Yes, this revolver is CA Compliant. Check here ( https://www.budsgunshop.com/search.php/exclusive/ca/q/taurus/sort/relevance ). Since the firearm is out of stock and difficult to find, I recommend putting your email in the "Notify Me When Available" section right of the product page. If you want one ASAP, check G(un)B(broker). They have a lot Taurus 856 available right now! I hope this helps.

Barbara, unfortunately this gun is out of stock at Bud's. There are a few on G(un)B(broker).  Good luck in your search!

Barbara, yes it is CA legal. Since it is out of stock at Buds, I would check on large gun and accessory sites like (6)un (8)roker as discontinued and hard to find firearms and accessories show up for sale by private individuals and small shops. Just replace (6) & (8) with G & B.
