And am only going to be concealed carry, home defense and the range AND since you cannot find the CZ Shadow 2 OR anywhere at this time, would purchasing the CZ Shadow 2 be a wise move, since Buds still has some? CZ Shadow 2 is NOT a good concealed carry gun. It's simply too BIG and HEAVY (40oz+). It is perfectly fine for casual shooting or home defense. For conceal carry, go for a lighter and more compact guns like Glock 19, Shield EZ, or CZ P01 (if you like CZ75 ergonomic). I recommend putting your email in the "Notify Me When Available" section right of the product page. If you want one ASAP, check G(un)B(broker). They have a lot CZ Shadows available right now! The price of guns is on the rise right now. If you have something for CC and home defense already and can wait for the prices to drop back down, save up some money and get what you really want. If you need something now, go ahead and buy. Good luck!

Kenneth, I would wait for it to be restocked. Demand will eventually go down and supply will rebound. Prices may even be slightly lower at that time. I would find what most closely matches your needs for concealed carry as their are several concealable models that can accept their larger counter part's higher capacity magazine for home defense. The CZ Shadow 2 is great for hone deffense, not so great for CCW, it is a little big and heavy to carry, so if you are lookibg for a do all gun id look at either the CZP01, or the CZ P07, or even the CZP10-C which are very similar to the shadow 2 but are lighter and much better suited for everyday cary. As to the optics cut versions I'm totally a convert on Reddots on pistols they are the way of the future, and are far quicker and easier then Iron sites once you learn to acquire the dot songle point of aim is superior to having to line up irons for sure.
That said if you really need the firearm and can't find one thats optics cut, CZ has a ton of after market support, and companies that modify them to accept reddots.
