Demand for firearms goes up when world events, show the slightest sign of societal chaos, this year has been one of the biggest years for previous antigun people to buy their 1st firearms, we've had Covid, then the defund the police, riots, hurricanes in the southeast, an election year where Biden is making no mystery about his plan to try to take away our 2nd amendment if he wins, the wild fires all over the west coast, then before all this even started you had Canada strip away most of what gun rights its citizens still had , Virginia trying to turn all its law abiding 2A citizens into felons amd many other states starting to get on board with these crazy ideas.
