NAY, while 9mm is an improvement over .380...its so marginal that it honestly does not worth it. Both pistols are practically the same in other department (same capacity, size, and reliability). I say save money for something else (especially considering how expensive guns are right now) I hope this helps.
I'd go for it, 9×19 (9mm) has more velocity Velocity 1050 FPS (.380) 950-1400 FPS (9mm) and much more stopping power with our losing velocity like you'd get going to 45acp or 40sw
Harvey, yes. This is exactly what I did for my wife and she loves the Gen4 DB-9. I kinda snuck it in on her because I liked the higher stopping potential of the 9mm but, she loved it anyway. You will have the benefit of a wider range of ammunition and more potent stopping power in a small package. Folks that say otherwise have not chrono-graphed the two. A faster, heavier projectile has more power. It is the law of physics. Cheers and stay safe!
Harvey, Only upgrade is from .380 to 9 mm. Basically same guns just a upgrade in caliber. Even though a .380 is more than adequate and capable. You do you. Whatever makes you happy.
