INTERESTING, s/n 1279350 means that this was probably made in 1942 before Winchester cease production for a few years due to WWII. I assume that by .30 cal you mean 30-30? How is the condition of the gun (is it in firing condition, the wood, the finish, ant scratch) ? Exceptional or good or fair? Assume a good condition (not exceptional) you are looking at around $900 at gun stores. But if you sell online then its $1,000+ for sure. If your gun is in exceptional condition with perfect finish and little to no scratch... probably around $2000. I am not an expert and this info is based on others opinion and pricing on auction sites. I hope this helps.
By auction sites i mean G(un)B(broker). Cheers
Vito, I would enter information for an estimate Sir : http://homesteadfirearms.com/appraisals/winchester/1894/
Vito, Trin is pretty close on value. Depending on condition you should be able to get $900 to $2,500. You will get whatever somebody is willing to pay. Good time to sell. Gun prices are up.
I would try listing it on Armslist.com as well its like the craigslist for guns and let's you find interested buyers and sellers local to you
