Rob, the above model barrel is Pillar Bedded. The difference is the Stock/Grip which is Contoured Grips/Forend.

Different Magazine capacity. The $ 306 has 3 + 1 capacity while this model has 4 + 1 capacity. Both Axis has a free-floated barrel and a dual pillar-bedded action. I hope this helps!
