It is BAD. Honestly, 460 is one of those guns you shoot once for a giggle and put it away for a year or more until your friends are over and you give it to them to shoot. It's unpleasant and can be painful. This of course depends on grip strength and whether you enjoy having a gun flinching hard every time you shoot. That's my experience. I hope this helps

Shaun, it is substantial but, recoil is subjective. It depends on the firearm (is compensated) shooter and technique.
