The 3" barrel GP100 has a pinned in front sight, just like the SP101, whereas the 4", 5" and 6" GP100's, along with the Ruger Super Redhawk's, all have an interchangeable front sight and sits in a groove that is held in by a spring-loaded plunger that you press in from the muzzle end of the gun with a paperclip or small punch.
