Recoil, the weight of Weight: 9 lbs helps but a Brake will be the ultimate factor in the highest recoil reduction for the most effective results. A recoil reduction Pad goes a long way as well : https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/39388/limbsaver+slip+on+large+black+recoil+pad - Cheers and stay safe!
Unless you plan on threading the barrel yourself most gun smiths will charge around $100 to thread a barrel, then the muzzle break can rin you anywhere from $60 to $200, and then a recoil reduction pad another $50-$100 by the time you get this rifle all good to go you could have bought this one https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/415010894 Which comes with everything you need right out of the box and will cost you less all in
Thomas, Just shoot it. This rifle doesn't need a muzzle break, If the recoil was a big deal Savage would have put a break on it. Break in and develop loads one magazine at a time you won't have any problems. Rifle is heavy enough to mitigate any recoil issues.
