For those of you who own the Emperor Arms MXP12 and/or the Rock Island Armory PA12H18, can you provide pros and cons for use in home defense and, if you can, which one you would choose? Thanks!

George, I went with the Rock Island Armory PA12H18 for the support factor. Both are fine for the price but, I'm partial to RIA since I also have the VR-80 and love it. Both RIA's pattern extremely well with a variety of loads. Cheers and stay safe!

George, Whatever you can find. The RIA PA12H18 is a fine shotgun. The Emperor Arms has a solid reputation. I personally would not use a semi-auto shotgun for home defense. I w3ould go with a pump shotgun from either one of these manufacturers.

Emperor Arms  parts are far more rare to find  accessories to fit it.  I'd go RIA just for the availability of aftermarket upgrades and replacement parts
