Yes, the Ruger "American" series of pistols replaced the SR9, 40, and 45 models.
Daniel, yes Sir they are discontinued. You can still find a few on large gun and accessory sites like (6)un (8)roker and Armslist as discontinued and hard to find firearms and accessories show up for sale by private individuals and small shops. Just replace (6) & (8) with G & B.
Daniel, Yes the centerfire Ruger SR series of handguns is discontinued and replaced with the American pistol series.
