Steven, my opinion is that the Gen 3 and 4 are close in function and feel. As stated, the Gen 5 has a better feeling trigger and I went with a Gen 5 Model. I would recommend the more refined Gen 5. Cheers and stay safe!

I'd go gen4 if you want finger grooves In The grip gen 5 if not and the gen5 fs if you want front cockibg serrations
