I'm not lefty but this exact question was asked on rugers forums and the answers they recieves there "Fellow Southpaw. The eject pattern is sideways to forward. You'll love it." And ---- "Wife and I both shoot off our left shoulder. No problems with that little carbine! You're going to like it. ;)" Seem the lefties on that forum all concur it runs just fine for the lefties
