Terry, I know this sounds silly, and may sound counter intuitive because of the shape of the case. But this had worked for me with a scoped sporting rifle with a fore grip on it. Don't worry about banging up the scope. Put your rifle in the bag scope down and magazine well and fore grip up. I like the Bulldog brand cases for my sporting rifles. Here are a couple to check out.----------------https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/711018846/bdt+single+tactical+rifle+bag+tan+43+inch --------------Most sporting rifle cases are only 13" high unless you get a double case. Here are 3 cases that are 16" high-------------------https://www.budsgunshop.com/search.php/type/Accessories/q/CVS2907/sort/relevance
Terry, most cases have 2 to 3 inches of less internal dimension space/size than the stated external dimension size. Just measure your rifle with everything attached you want to fit and then seek a case with at least a 2 inch buffer internally for a comfortable fit. Cheers and stay safe!
