Gabriel, either will work just fine. I can vouch for the Springfield Armory XD Mod 2 Full size as I have one in .45ACP and an XDM in 10mm that I shoot more than my Glocks.

Sig Sauer and Springfield are both fine gun makers. The one that feels best in your hands would be a good choice.

out of my CZ, SW, HK, and XDM the Springfield is absolutely a solid performer its hard for.me to really nail down what one I like the most, depends on the day really but i.love my XDM, never had an issue of any kind and the trigger and ergos are some of the most underrated in the business. You honestly can't go (w) rong with the Springfield. Also if you're a newer shooter I'd definitely try to get yo a range to shoot a 45acp before going all in on a compact model, 45acp isn't the hardest kicking out there but for a new shooter the difference in recoil between that and a 9mm, especially from a shorter barrel and a shorter grip is gonna make it way harder to get and stay on target, ( target acquisition is also a.little slower with a short barrel as sight radius is smaller) If unable to shoot one 1st id think seriously about a full size first, but thats just my opinion, you can get the hang of it. But it will just take longer with a compact.

of those I would go with the springfield I would also look at the S&W M&P in 45 acp
