Bud's has a filter for CA, and MA compliant firearms they unfortunately don't have a filter for NJ. But they do provide info on the restricted features of handguns in their state compliant section. Magazine attaching outside the pistol grip is not very common, and is mostly in PDW's like pistol caliber carbines, and some AR style pistols ---- Threaded barrels mostly only come on tactical versions of pistols, so if you stick with standard versions your good.------- A barrel shroud is an external covering that envelops (either partially or full-length) the barrel of a firearm, to prevent unwanted direct contact with the barrel, and again is more likely to be on a pdw, AR, or AK pistol ------- Weight of 50 oz is pretty heavy, so any polymere and even most still frame pistols are gonna be good on that front really the other time a pistol is likely to exceed 3 pounds is a AR, AK, or PDW ----- And the semi auto version of a full auto is more of the same, No MP5, No Ar, Ak Or PDW. Then just make sure the magazine capacity is not above 10rds. Stephanie, if the handgun has a 10 round capacity or less, it is most likely good to go in NJ. There are a few restrictions on semi-automatic hand guns, but most handguns would not have enough of those restrictions to be banned.
