I'm a novice, in New Jersey, shopping for 2 handguns. One 9mm, and one 22. I would like recommendations for handguns in these calibers that are fun to shoot, but also EASIEST to clean and maintain.

I'd recommend the Ruger 22/45 or Taurus TX22 for a .22s, a 9mm..depends on what you intend to use it for.  If just range shooting/home defense get something large like a Glock 17.  For concealed carry, go for something smaller and lighter.

Anthony, Any Glock you can find for a 9 mm handgun. Best buy for the buck and ultra dependable and feature rich 22 lr is the Taurus TX22.
