31.5″ OVERALL LENGHT for 16inch barrel. Buttstock IS adjustable like an AR. I personally think an 8inch Freedom Ordnance pistol is much better as this is more compact for close-quarter situations inside your home. 16inch barrel can be too long for tight environments like door or hall way. I would go for 8inch pistol anytime....way more fun than 16inch. More portable, lighter, and more maneuverable. I hope this helps.
Gabriel, it has a 6 Position Collapsible Stock. 36.75 inches fully extended and 31.5 inches collapsed. For home defense the 8 inch would be more maneuverable but, either would work. Cheers and stay safe!
