I just received my FNH509C Tactical and there seems to be a great deal of space between the sled and the frame. I am concerned that debris could get in and I can see the spring and parts it is so much of a gap. Is this normal?

My smith and Wesson M&P has a gap like that, it still functions 100% of the time,  and it doesn't get any dirtier then my CZ, HK, or XDM (none of these have gaps)

Patrick, this is normal Sir. This gap is on the Compact and Standard FN Model. There are no issues with function although, I do have to remove debris more often than my pistols with less gap. Cheers and stay safe!
