Arthur, you will have no issues in the Winchester Lever action Model 88 I have fired these and my hand loads no worries. Cheers and stay safe!

YES, Great ammo for bolt or lever action (any manual action rifle). Note that it does not work well on some semi-auto 308 because it is never polished after the annealing process hence they do not stagger stack well because they have a lot of friction on them. This is pretty much nato spec ammo. I hope this helps

No worries I don't own any rifles chambered in .308 but I have used lake city 556 in my AR's with no issues.

I would think the .308 would run well out of a lever action but thats only speculation on my part.
