If you mean 30-30 and a 44 mag ammo with special ballistic tips like Hornady Leverevolution, then there are some. For 30-30 there are Nosler BT Ballistic Tip and Federal Premium Big Game Copper. There is NO ALTERNATIVE for 44 mag. Leverevolution is only ballistic tipped 44 mag out there. If course hollow point or flat nose 44 mag and 30-30 will work but not as well as leverevulution for long range hunting.

Nick, as stated, both these rounds are Flat Nosed and pose no danger in a Lever Action 30-30 Rifle. 44 Magnum is a Flat Tipped Round as well so there is no danger of a Tip poking the primer of the round in front in the Lever Rifles tube. The trade off is the loss of aerodynamic advantage of the soft pointed tip of the Leverevolution round.
