The longer the barrel, the better the accuracy. XDms are accurate shooters, you should look into the Canik TP9s as well, they're very good value and great shooters.

The arex delta trigger is NOT good and the gun would not be accurate as want. Springfield xdm elite has much better trigger and more accurate. That being said, xdm elite is HEAVY compare to other polymer gun out there. If you are budget conscious, look at Canik TP9s, they have the best trigger of all polymer pistol and will help you with accuracy. I hope this helps

I own the XDM Elite with a 4.5" barrel i bought it shortly after it came out because the girl I was dating at the time loved XDM's I was lucky enough to get mine for $450, but its well worth it, I love the grip ( the grip on the 3.8, and 4.5 is exactly the same) it has great texture that's not overly aggressive, and I have big hands so it's easy to get a full grip, ( my ex was 5'9" 120 pounds and not very strong and she could run the XDM Elite with no problems) it has an amazing trigger ( when you 1st get it the dry fire reset will feel a little odd, but once you start putting rounds through it, its right up there, with a p10c, or a vp9), it has a match grade barrel, excellent balance, ergos and capacity. I can't speak on the Arex as I've never handled one but the XDM Elite is pretty sweet shooting pistol. Just curious though why the 3.8" barrel? If its for home deffense you'll get better accuracy out of a longer barrel if its for conceal carry there us the xdm elite compact that has

Charles, I would get the Rex Delta. You will be hard pressed to find a better quality handgun especially at the price point and can get a half a case of ammunition with the difference.
