Purchased a Colt Walther 1911 .22 - upon inspection i noticed the guiderod is contoured to fit at the base of the barrel - but the other end of the guide rod rests against the slide-lock pin and does not allow the contoured surfaces to mate- this looks like a fabrication flaw as the recoil pressure is being applied to the slide lock pin. Anyone see this before - does the guiderod need to be modified for it to seat properly- thank you.

Berj, no Sir, This is normal on the factory Colt Walther 1911 .22 guiderod. I don't know if there are any aftermarket replacements but I would check. Cheers and stay safe!
