Does NOT fit in a regular ammo can. But if dremel off some of the edges, then it will fit perfectly in an ammo can. You can fit 4 trays of shorty shells, 2 (2 3/4) or 2 (2 3/4) 1 (shorty) in a can after modifications of trays. I hope this helps
