Shawn, every retailer uses the slanted front serration photo on this so I am inclined to believe they are slanted. I would contact Buds directly to confirm this anyway at LiveChat (available from 9AM to 9PM 7 days a week), the "Contact Us" tab at the top of the page, or phoning at (859) 368-0371 (available 9AM to 9PM EST Monday through Friday).
