YES, pretty much every state are requiring sales tax to be collected from online retailers now. It unfortunate, but Buds can't do anything about it.
For the umpteenth time, Bud's is required to collect sales tax for the state you live in.
Bryan, Buds has been charging State Sales tax for us here in NC for almost a couple of years. Other Texans has stated Buds has started taxes there as well recently. Maybe Buds can clarify whatever mandate they are now using in reference to TX tax at 1-859-368-0371 9am-9pm EST Mon-Fri. or use the Blue Chat now button at the bottom right corner 9am to 9pm Mon - Sat and 9am to 7pm Sunday.
Almost all states are requiring sales tax to be collected from e-tailers now.
I'm in Oregon, we ate the last state to have no sales tax ( they get us with high fuel taxes at the pump, high income taxes on our paycheck, and ridiculous property taxes that no end to be hiked) but I just placed an order Saturday and was not charged any sales tax, which is just like every other order I've placed on buds and other online vendors. What ive always heard from others is for online sales your on the hook for the state you live in taxes. From what ive read on the web it says buyers and sellers in Texas still have to pay state sales taxes https://comptroller.texas.gov/taxes/publications/94-171.php#:~:text=Online%20purchases%20and%20sales%20are%20subject%20to%20sales,tax.%20Online%20Orders%20%E2%80%93%20Texas%20Purchasers%20and%20Sellers ---------‐ https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/texas-internet-sales-tax.html -----‐--------
