I've become a little picky. I like Walther. I want to move from my PPS to a PPQ SC. now I just need to find one some where I can buy. I would actually be happy with a P22... if someone who knows what they're talking about thinks .22 LR out of a hand gun is usable for self defense. A lot of people say "dead men tell now tales" because of the legal system. Even so, I think I'd be alright with less power. I think... I need some advise on the whole thing.

I personally do not recommend .22lr for self-defense due to not good terminal ballistic (how it acts when entering human) and with 10 rd in the magazine, it's really not a good option. It is better than nothing for sure. If you have wrist pain and can't control a bigger round like 9mm.... .22lr might be an ok alternative. I would at least look at .22 magnum or .380. They might be a better option. If Walther comes out with 17rd .22 magazine like Keltec P17, then I might see some merit in .22lr self-defense gun. But 10rd of .22lr is not good for self-defense. Evan, 22lr is usable for self defense but is not optimal. Of course larger calibers are recommended for their higher potential for one shot stops. Yes a 22lr has killed thousands of folks who can not tell you the difference between 9mm, 40S&W, 45ACP or the 22lr that did them in.
