Gary, with the sustained high demand and low supply, many vendors have much higher prices than normal. I agree a dollar or more a round is not cool. I search for the best online prices at Ammo Seek : https://ammoseek.com/
Supply and demand. People have been buying ammo like they will never get a chance again. Northeast is still shut down. Imports are very slow. Supply is low, and demand is very high.
Due to the high demand, sellers are now putting up high prices for ammo. For lower cost, keep an eye out at physical stores. Also, track Ammo Seek to find ammo prices in real-time. I hope this helps
Ammo prices are high everywhere right now, supply and demand, an influx of new gun owners, panic buying due to world events, and the soon to be attack on our 2nd amendment rights have prices very high. We here in the community are not buds empire but customers just like you. Hopefully things will get better but it's not likely before summer 2021 maybe longer. Try comparing prices in sites like ammobuy.com to get the best prices.

This is why the AG of Texas has filed cases against several on-line 'retailers' for price gauging. Now before all you keyboard commando jump up on your stumps I am not saying that Buds is price gauging, I have bought a laundry list of items from Buds and I have never been disappointed. What I am saying is, AND WHY
